How it works

ReGen Thermal Solar System

• 1. The ReGen Solar Thermal System is connected to your hot water storage tank
• 2. Cold water is pumped into the header pipe
• 3. The evacuated tubes convert UV rays into usable heat via the heat pipe
• 4. The header pipe heats the water which is then returned to your storage tank

ReGen Photovoltaic Solar System

• 1. PV (Photovoltaic) solar cells convert solar energy directly into electricity
• 2. PV cells are made up of two or more thin layers of semi-conducting material. When exposed to light electricity is generated
• 3. The electricity collected is in the form of a direct current (DC) which is stored in batteries
• 4. Homes however use alternating current (AC). The DC is changed by passing through an inverter before supplying the home
• 5. Any excess electricity collected can be sold back to the grid by using an export meter
